The Fokus One lamp aims to assist in making this separation by allowing users to physically place the shade (combined with a diffuser) onto the lamp, which attaches effortlessly using magnets, automatically fading the colour temperature from cool to warm white. The placing on of the shade forms an active and purposeful step to move the function of the environment and the lamp from a productivity focus with harsh white lighting, to a relaxing ambience with warm, diffused lighting. The Fokus One takes inspiration from both Japanese and Scandinavian design principles. Japanese design places a strong emphasis on meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail, whilst Scandinavian design promotes values of minimalism, functionality, and timelessness.
