This year, I've relished the opportunity to experiment as the projects unravelled. I've found 3D visualisation to be a passion in my design process and strong point in helping people to better understand and explain my designs.
Pico
This project set out to explore how the pizza-making experience can be made portable. With an increase in purchases of outdoor and compact pizza ovens, the challenge for many users lies with taking the experience with them on the go.
Pico is a portable pizza station that allows hobbyist pizza makers to take the experience out of the home. The portable table offers a raised surface for the pizza oven to be placed on, as well as additional side tables, giving the user a surface to prepare the pizzas. The main table ismade from stainless-steel bars and sheet, with the side tables constructed out of bamboo sheets. The table and other pizza-making essentials can be conveniently dismantled and stowed away into the provided bag, making it easy to transport and carry for an elevated outdoor experience.
Burano portable lamp
Burano is a portable lamp drawing inspiration from the designs of 1970s Italy. The lamp combines traditional forms, colours, and finishes with a contemporary twist?seamlessly incorporating the convenience and flexibility of portability.
Designed for versatility, the lamp features a tiltable shade, providing users with a spectrum of lighting possibilities, through both mood and task lighting. The lamp's intensity can be easily tailored to your preferences through a touch button conveniently located at the centre of its body. The lamp is available in three different colours and features a high gloss finish, which is a prominent characteristic of Italian design in the 70s.
