Classic Calm for Horses
Classical calm is a product engineered to reduce stress and anxiety to horses through playing selected classical songs. This innovative headpiece intergrates existing fly veil/acoustic ears with minor adaptations to include small speaker units. As the design uses a familliar product within the industry, user feedback was extremely positive as target customers descibed feeling comfortable with this adaptation.
Enhanced with a thin layer of dense microfoam and lined with bamboo woven fabric, the headpiece boasts enhanced acoustic capabilities, ensuring a more immersive and highquality experience. Complementing this, the speaker system features a robust injectionmolded ABS casing, offering superior impact resistance, scratch resistance, and surface finish.
Supported by scientific studies validating the calming effects of classical music on horses, the curated playlist features songs with a maximum sound output of 60 decibels to protect the horses sensitive ears and a BPM (Beats per Minute) of below 100. Scientific findings necessitated a lower BPM for the songs, as research indicates that slower music is pivotal in calming horses.
Sustainable Stud Packaging
Replacement sports studs for boots always come in a hard plastic shell that once open is nearly impossible to keep intact to store the rest of the studs for use at a later date. When changing studs only one is replaced at a time which results in having 15 left loose in a kit bag.
The stud packaging is made from recyclable molded paper pulp taking heavy inspiration from an egg carton. It is universal for all types of studs from rugby to athletics and to obtain a stud, a single section is torn off. The lid is constructed from recyclable kraftboard that has a natural appearance in order to further enhance the packaging’s sustainability.
