Knot-It
Recent years have seen a resurgence in popularity for traditional textile crafts and an increase in awareness for the physical and mental benefits that these activities have.
'Knot-it' is the flat-pack kit that allows users to explore a twist on these traditional crafts, creating a personal, durable, self-configuring furniture frame. The frame is easily constructed at home using instructions inspired by classic 70's craft magazines and physical 'how-to' manuals. Following step-by-step diagrams, weaving techniques are used to upholster the frame with materials provided as part of the kit.
This creates a hands-on assembly and upholstery experience that embraces the skill level of the user. When desired the user is able to easily undo their work and try again, as they weave-it, tie-it and knot-it to create their own personal upholstered chair.
Rush Lamp 23
The Rush Lamp 23 is an evolution of the Victorian rush light influenced heavily by retro design. The light has a New Retro design language and is available in three colours with a 12V LED neon bar. The light uses conductive technology, the frame is live with one arm being positive and the other negative isolated with nylon washers. The arms swing out, opening the clamp, holding the LED bar in place, and completing the circuit, turning on the light. The retro inspired ambient lighting has a high level of user interaction and stands out in any room creating a warm, colourful glow.
